Adam Catzavelos

South Africans from all walks of life have united on social media to give their own “Weather Updates”… this is the Adam Catzavelos Challenge.

 

As serious as what Adam Catzavelos did in his video which went viral globally, South Africans have an incredible way of facing the most difficult situations with a little laughter. And hundreds of South Africans are showing him (and each other) their kind of “Weather Update” with the new #AdamCatzavelosChallenge.

In the original video, Adam Catzavelos gives a weather report, adding “amazing sea and not one (very disgusting derogatory racists word) in sight”.

He has since been fired from the family business, St George’s Fine Foods, and clients of the company are all releasing press statements that they have stopped using their products, and will be finding new suppliers to assist them with immediate effect.

But something else has also happened.

In the good old South African tradition… hundreds of videos are being uploaded to social media using humour to come to terms with the original racist rant.
