OMO launched an App designed to help children access Maths revision work which will benefit their skills in the long run and make the subject fun!
A World Economic Forum global competitiveness report revealed South Africa came last, 144th out of 144 countries, for mathematics and science teaching. OMO decided to tackle this issue by creating the OMO Fast Kids Maths App powered by MathsWizz. The app was created to promote child development and has reached over 200,000 users so far!
Fast Kids Maths is an interactive online learning platform for mobile phones, tablet devices and desktop browsers intended to expose children aged seven to university entrance to the foundations of mathematics. These include number bonds, time tables and general arithmetic through the use of drills.
The app is perfect for both children and adults, especially for parents that struggle to help their children with mathematical homework.
The platform is designed to cater for various levels of educational experience and mathematical aptitude and hence, can be used by people of all ages looking to improve their basic mathematical foundation.
The Fast Kids app does an initial assessment to gauge what level the user is at and then proceeds to monitor the users progress. To keep children interested in practicing there is a token rewards system that are converted to special rewards including Paddle Pop ice creams and Hungry Lion vouchers courtesy of Unilever.
