Brand South Africa “Play Your Part” Ambassadors empower local learners in Cape Town.

Cape Town, South Africa (13 March 2020) – Brand South Africa, the official marketing agency of the country, together with Play Your Part Ambassadors, Goliath and Goliath, returned to Cape Town this week to empower local learners to become active in their communities to make a difference in the lives of those around them.

Since 2018, comedians and entrepreneurs, Donovan, Jason and Nicholas Goliath, have been running masterclasses for high school learners, on how to contribute to a brighter future for their communities, their country and how this builds a positive Nation Brand.

The masterclass, called, “Play Your Part, turn your ideas into currency”, is part of the Brand South Africa, “Play Your Part” programme that seeks to inspire, empower and celebrate active citizenship in the nation. Through the programme, Brand South Africa has managed to work toward uplifting youth in various societies which will yield the highest returns in the quest for socio-economic development in our country.

This week the comedic trio were hosted at Sophumelela High School in Mitchell’s Plain together with learners from Pakama Secondary School and Zisukanya High School.

“Regardless of where they are in the country, or who they are talking to or entertaining, the Goliaths connect with all South Africans,” says Brand South Africa Acting CMO: Sithembile Ntombela.

“The stories we hear from the learners we chat to show the ongoing need to have these kinds of engagements,” continues Ntombela, “and what we heard today is no exception.”
