In this week’s Good Things Guy Jacpod, we chat to Dene Botha about his online academy, a missed wedding and hope during a global pandemic.
South Africa (11 August 2020) – Pride Factor is a life skills academy dedicated to improving the quality of young people’s lives by inspiring, guiding and mentoring them to challenge their assumptions, broaden their aspirations and develop entrepreneurial thinking.
Dene Botha, the MD and founder of Pride Factor, joins Brent Lindeque on the Good Things Guy Jacpod to tell us more about Pride Factor, discuss life in lockdown, and his missed wedding (which he finally got to have, just days after recording this podcast).
“Having already shifted the wedding date twice due to the Pandemic and lockdown, we started the week with constant negativity following us around including things like our first officiant running-off with our money and the next one getting diagnosed with COVID 48 hours before the “I do’s” (he’s fine btw)… We finally managed to stabilise things and successfully pull-off the most beautiful little wedding on our rooftop with two best friends as witnesses and our parents joining-in from around the world via Zoom (never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d say that). The formalities are done and are officially husband and wife, however, the ceremony (and bachelor party!) will still take place in November (hopefully) so that we can celebrate with our family, friends and loved ones.”
