Explore Feed

Facebook has a hidden ‘Explore Feed’ that is filled with all the top posts from across the world. Each story is catered to the users personal interests.

Facebook has been testing out a new feature designed to give people access to content they may not see on their usual news feed. Typically the content on a person’s news feed comes from friends and pages they have liked. The new feature gives the user access to the trending content from across the globe. This content is tailored to each users personal interests.

The Explore feed is showing up for users under Facebook’s “More” menu. It is in the same place as the ‘Find Wi-Fi‘ tool.

“We are testing a complementary feed of popular articles, videos, and photos, customized for each person based on content that might be interesting to them. We’ve heard from people that they want an easy way to explore new content they haven’t connected with yet.”

The explore feed is currently only available on the Facebook mobile app. TechCrunch tested the new feature and found that “a fairly reliable source of new content to check out”.

So when you have a few spare moments and you are feeling sick of seeing the same thing on your news feed, head over to the ‘More’ tab and browse the new ‘Explore Feed’.
