South Africa (05 August 2020) – Growing up, mom and gran always used to comment on the amount of television we watched. Every child can quote them, “your eyes are going to go square” – well the next generation of innovators showed them!

Hisense has developed a television that is good for your eyes. Yes, you read that right, a TV that is better for you while you watch your favourite shows. We all love a good binge-watching session of our favourite series and movies, and what better news than to know it isn’t bad for us?

The Hisense Laser L5 Series was developed to prevent eye strain. It has advanced technology to help in every light setting. With the new Ambient Light Rejecting Screen, you are able to watch TV in the middle of the day or in your brightest room. You even get that cinema feeling from the 80″ and 100″ TVs when your couch is within 3-metres from your screen.

Enhanced details and Pure Colour also aid in the display benefits the new TVs offer. The Pure Colour shows natural colours in their truest forms, give you a true-to-life look at your favourite shows and movies.

The reason these TVs prevent eyestrain is that the images are reflected onto the screen instead of being directly displayed towards one’s eyes. The Hisense L5 Series has been Low Blue Light TÜV Rheinland certified in accordance with European standards.

‘People around the world spend a lot of time in front of electronic screen products every day, more and more medical and scientific research has clearly demonstrated that the blue radiation from the excessive use of electronic display products will have an impact on human health.’

‘The image you see on Laser TV screen is reflected instead of directly into the eyes, which consistent with human visual perception, you will feel no eyestrain even during long watch times. And the screen does not need electricity to work which therefore generate zero electromagnetic radiation.’

The L5 Series is classed as a green and eco-friendly TV thanks to the use of eco-friendly materials used. Its passive ALR screen also means the environmental impact is greatly reduced considering the size of the TVs.

Not only is the Hisense L5 Series good for your eyes, but it is also now good for your heart too! Hisense is committing to supporting eye-care organisations in their efforts to better the lives of South Africans. For every unit sold, they will donate a portion to an eye-care charity in need.
