#StreetwisePERiPERiMcBurger – Nando’s new initiative kicked off this week, preparing and distributing thousands of meals for those in need!
Johannesburg, South Africa (08 May 2020) – Nando’s announced last week that they would open a few restaurants dedicated to cooking meals for communities where food is hard to come by.
Starting in Gauteng (7 May), they fired up their grills to prepare and distribute thousands of meals for those in need with the support of Joint Aid Management (JAM) their distribution partner. In addition, their beverage partners at Pioneer Foods came to the party and donated 500ml bottled water to this project.
“We thank our partners at JAM and Pioneer for their assistance. We also want to thank our collaborators at KFC and McDonalds for joining us as they commence their distribution of food to other vulnerable communities across the country, we hope many more restaurant brands join us in this mission.
Let’s keep #StreetwisePERiPERiMcBurger going, and all do what we can to take care of Mzansi.”
If you’d like to help, don’t leave your home!
While you’re performing the endless scroll on your newsfeeds, you can purchase a voucher for your next Nando’s meal on the free Nando’s app or at www.nandos.co.za, and they will donate 10 times the value of your voucher to the Solidarity Fund.
The Solidarity Fund has been set up to respond to the COVID-19 crisis in South Africa and makes public donations and payments regularly for products and services that will alleviate the impact of COVID-19 on South Africans.
That’s Solidarity.
