For the past few weeks, businesses on Canal Street in New York City have been battling it out with Post-it Notes.

It started out with a simple “Hi.”

From there it escalated quickly. Havas Worldwide, Horizon Media, Cake Group, Biolumina, Harrison and Star, and Getty Images are some of the major agencies to go to sticky-note window war.

On social media, the posts have been tagged #canalnotes. The designs got better and better…

But Havas Worldwide decided it was time for a finale.

It took nearly 16,000 Post-it Notes covering 197 windows.
