WesBank has adopted an initiative that empowers women, upskills them and gives them a voice in the boardroom; this initiative has seen Kutlwano Mogatusi thrive in her work environment.
South Africa (12 June 2023) – The Lotus Programme is uplifting the female employees at WesBank by providing them with the skills to add their voices to the discussions happening in boardrooms. Communications Specialist Kutlwano Mogatusi was recognised for her leadership qualities when selected for the programme. She has thrived in it and feels more empowered than ever!
Kutlwano has been with the company for almost five years and says that she thoroughly enjoys her job. She feels blessed to work for an organisation that recognises its employees and invests in their development. Having been personally selected for the programme by WesBank CEO, Ghana Msibi, she hopes to use the leadership quality he saw in her, to grow even further in the business.
The Lotus Programme, which is aimed at women, consists of two monthly sessions and focuses on topics such as personal branding and networking, amongst others. Each session is well-attended and has even created a space for employees to feel valued as individuals. It inspires a value-based work culture that sends a positive message to young women; that nothing is impossible!
