white and black together love south africa

School-Days, a bursary-building platform for South African families, has raised over R11 million for its members’ school, college and university fees in just over a year.

And this number continues to grow as more families join School-Days and start building their own education bursaries.

School-Days is a bursary-building platform that gives you the opportunity to build a bursary for your family’s school, college and/or university fees, helping you provide for their education. The platform is simple, and building a bursary is easy.

When you spend at one of their Spend Partners (like Dis-Chem) you get a portion of your spend (in the form of edu-currency) back into your personal education bursary which you can use towards the fees at any school, college and/or university.

School-Days founder, Chris Nel, says:

“My wife Kerry and I founded this company on the conviction that education is critical to building our communities, but paying the fees for quality education can be tough for families. Our intent is to make a difference in South Africa by serving our families in ways to do this with ever more ease, and to secure their dreams for their sons and daughters.

Education is what will change all of us – it changes individuals, who change families, who change communities, who change societies, who change nations, who change continents, who change the world.

Along our School-Days journey, we are continually raising our game. This year, we decided it was time to enter the market in a stronger way. We came up with a polished brand DNA that captures what we do and how we do it. Part of this process saw the creation of our new look and feel, which speaks to how we are growing and finding new ways to empower our members.”

Ian Edwards is one of the members empowered by building a bursary through School-Days. He comments:

“I hadn’t planned on having four children, and now I have to make the best plan I can to prepare for their education costs. I’m committed to educating my children and growing a bursary with School-Days brings me closer to my goal. Where I stand now, I have enough in my bursary to pay the school fees for one of my children for two years. You can join School-Days and make it work for you, too.”

School-Days is free to join, and all South Africans over the age of 18 years old can start building a bursary of their own. Even if you don’t have school-going children of your own, you can build a bursary for anyone – your own education, or for future children or grandchildren. You can also nominate a niece, nephew, a friend’s child or your domestic helper’s child as your beneficiary; or choose to contribute to the School-Days Cares bursary for children in need.

When it comes to planning for the future, every little bit helps! That’s why more and more people are joining the education revolution, securing the future of their education through School-Days.
