Everyone is talking about “Coffee on Grayston” after East Rand foodie The Food Musketeer shared the small business on Twitter and asked everyone to support it.

Grayston, South Africa (06 March 2023) – The Food Musketeer, run by Maya Dajee on Twitter, shared a post about a small business operating in the Grayston traffic. A duo are running a coffee stand, which offers various types of coffee and homemade scones – and they mean business!

Coffee on Grayston is making social media waves for being innovative in times when it’s tough to run a business. The roadside coffee stand sells cost-effective coffee to people stuck in morning traffic. The best part is the small business offers card payments and according to Twitter user Mpho Nkadimeng, the businessmen also offer a loyalty card to regulars and take pre-orders should you be on your way to the intersection.

Maya shared her post about the coffee business and never imagined it would have such a phenomenal reach. Her passion is promoting small food businesses and supporting “local is lekker”. The thing she loved most about the business, is that it has been made accessible for all.

“I also love the ‘we accept cards’ so companies like Yoco and Ikhoka are enabling small businesses to do business without having to worry about carrying cash, etc. Which is a win for any small business. If you can tap n go for R15, why not!”

Whether you are a Ricoffy fan or a Douw Egbert lover, you can have your brand of choice before heading to work in the morning. A guy even delivers it right to your car window.

The reason so many people are finding Coffee on Grayston so inspiring, is because it goes to show, you do not need to have it all, to have a business! If the community supports this business enough, we have no doubt the team will continue to grow until they one day, have a coffee shop to rival the best! It is evident that the businessmen running Coffee on Grayston are prepared to invest in their business. We can all help them make that happen!

Next time you head towards Grayston, make sure you have some spare change, or your card ready, to order a coffee and scone.
