More vaccine sites open across the Western Cape!
Western Cape, South Africa (24 May 2021) – The Western Cape has introduced more large-scale vaccination hubs for thousands of residents, specifically 60 and older, to receive their first COVID-19 shot in an effort to speed up the nation’s delayed vaccine rollout.
As of Monday, the number of vaccination sites in the Western Cape was at 53 – this includes 42 public and 11 private sector vaccination sites.
The new sites are:

- Adriaanse Clinic
- Chesnut Clinic
- Chestnut Satellite Clinic
- Delft CHC
- Durbanville CDC
- Goodwood CDC
- Kraaifontein Clinic
- Kuyasa Library
- Lansdowne Library Hall
- Ocean View Civic Centre
- Reed Street CDC
- Ruimte Road Satellite Clinic
- Stikland Hospital
- Symphony Way CDC
- Tafelsig Thusong Centre
- Beaufort West Hospital
- Harry Comay Hospital
- TC Newman CDC
- Worcester CDC

But the premier says that more sites are opening.
“The 53 is confirmed. We will update this list later today. but for now the 53 is what is 100% confirmed,” says Mark van der Heever, the spokesman for the provincial health department.
“I call on those who are 60 years and older to register for their vaccine,” says Alan Winde, Premier of the Western Cape.
“If you are not yet eligible, you can play your part by helping to register those who are”.
