The Animal Ambulance NPC, which rescues sick and abused animals from a painful fate, is struggling to stay afloat and could really do with your help.
Pretoria, South Africa (23 February 2025) – With the cost of living rising at what feels like by the day, many people are struggling to get by. This is a struggle that the Animal Ambulance NPC volunteers know all too well, leaving them in a very desperate position when it comes to continuing their work in caring for animals.
Established in 2002, the Animal Ambulance is a 24-hour pro-life emergency centre which helps sick and abused animals, who without its help would die an often painful death.
The organisation is currently in need of support in the form of funds and cleaning supplies to help with the upkeep of the animals’ shelters.
“We are struggling to provide our animals with the care they deserve, particularly when it comes to keeping their living areas clean and well-maintained,” the animal centre said.
The non-profit organisation relies only on donations from individuals and fundraising events, but times have been exceptionally challenging so far.
The organisation requires various household cleaning detergents, washing powder, fabric softener, dishwashing liquid, industrial mops, brooms, wheelbarrows, spades, garden forks and rakes.
“It is just becoming harder and harder to keep going. We can’t do it alone,” the Animal Ambulance added.
If you are able to assist in any way, whether by donating any of the items listed above or through a small monetary contribution, they would be immensely grateful.
You can deliver the items directly to their drop-off point at 6 Bothma Street, Valhalla Centurion.
Alternatively, you can donate just R50 here, which will enable the team to purchase these essentials in bulk.
