This Pop-Up Shop in Cape Town wants to encourage beachgoers to keep the beaches clean so they will reward every person that brings in a bag of litter.

The Pop-Up Shop in Camps Bay, Cape Town has a great incentive for beachgoers. They are using their shop to reward people for helping the environment while at the beach.

Litter is a massive problem during the festive season, many people visit the beaches across South Africa and the litter problem gets out of control. This is extremely sad as the little can then blow into the ocean or the birdlife get entangled in it or it is mistaken as food.

The Pop-Up Shop decided to reward beachgoers that bring a bag of litter from the beach.

“Collect and hand in a bag filled with litter from the beach and receive a complimentary beverage of your choice.”

“Let’s keep Cape Town and it’s beautiful beaches clean!” – Marc Bührer

People are loving the concept and commending the store for creating a rewarding initiative that will encourage people to join in on cleaning the beach.

“What a thoughtful and unselfish concept. Amazing bro” – Geoff ‘Matthee’

Marc believes that we should always give back where possible which is what inspired this reward system. You can find the shop on Camps Bay beach.
