Through a celebrity art auction, Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary has received a most generous donation that will contribute to anti-poaching efforts and help care for many orphaned rhinos!
Mpumalanga, South Africa (22 April 2025) – Many many little orphaned rhinos are about to be provided with plentiful supplies of vital milk and medical supplies thanks to a donation from generous souls from across the globe!
Orchestrated by Christian Ehrlich and Promis für Tiere – a German non-profit organisation that supports animal welfare and conservation through fundraising – the Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary has been on the receiving end of a donation of €25,000 – that’s R538 705,00 in South African rands!
This heartfelt contribution was inspired by Christian’s initial visit to the sanctuary back in 2018, shortly after the rescue of “Arthur the Brave”.
“Witnessing the devastating impact of poaching firsthand left a lasting impression, and from that moment on, Christian has been a passionate supporter of our work,” shared Care for Wild.
Christian has since poured into the care and rehabilitation of rhinos, with his most recent visit to the sanctuary, where he was accompanied by a cheque with funds raised through a celebrity art auction.
And it is thanks to this initiative of compassion and creativity, that Care for Wild will be able to continue its work and help provide vital milk and medical supplies for the orphaned rhinos in its care.
