Drone Safari

Drone footage shot at the ‘Kambaku’ Olifants River Safari got close-up to Giraffe, swimming Crocodiles and mud slinging Elephants playing in the river!

A game drive is always a breathtaking experience! Getting to see real life African wildlife is possibly the most exciting part of all! The only downside is we have to keep a safe distance away for the safety of ourselves and the animals we view.

Drones seem to have changed the way we get to view wildlife! One drone operator visited the Olifants River Safaris and took his drone along on the boat trip. Instead of watching the animals from a distance he sent his drone out to get a closer look at the animals in their natural habitat.

“A short video clip which introduces ‘Kambaku’ Olifants River Safaris game reserve in South Africa.”

The most amazing part of the entire video is watching a massive family of elephants playing in the mud at a nearby waterhole and drinking water at the riverside.

“Olifants River Lodge and Safaris is geographically situated on the northern shore of the Olifants River, approximately 17 kilometers south of the town of Phalaborwa. The river flows from west to east, through the Kruger National Park into the neighbouring country Mozambique.”

“Meander along the waters of the magnificent Olifants River on the ‘Kambaku’ house boat watching crocodiles, hippo, buffalo, elephant, water buck and a wide variety of other game on the lush green banks of the river.”

The drone used to film was the DJI Phantom 3! Watch the video below,
