Elephants

Martin Heigan was staying at the Pilanesberg National Park, South Africa. He was on his way back to his accommodation when he spotted elephants taking a dip.

We are currently sitting in a hot office counting down the seconds till we can head home and cool off. While browsing our favourite video resource we spotted a video that instantly filled us with joy and made us wish we could be an elephant taking a dip in the Pilanesberg.

The video is a short one but is just too sweet for words. Martin Heigan was on his way back to his accommodation to empty his full SD cards when he spotted a sight worth sharing.

Five elephants wondered down the line of sand and rolled over into the water. The largest elephant was all too quick and nearly knocked over the smallest Ellie in the herd. It really made us chuckle. Martin shared the video and said,

“What do you do when you’ve just filled up all your SD Cards with wildlife photos, and see another amazing wildlife sighting on your way back to the camp to copy the photos off? You grab your iPhone, and keep on filming!”

“Elephants cooling down from the heat of the mid-day African Sun by playing in the water at Mankwe Dam (Pilanesberg National Park, South Africa).”
