The Save the Fourways Bushbabies team recently released a rescued bushbaby back into the wild; the poor thing had been trapped in an attic.

Fourways, South Africa (22 November 2023) – There is a small population of bushbabies in the North of Johannesburg. An organisation called ‘Save the Fourways Bushbabies‘ take on massive development projects to help protect what little space they have left and when they need help, the team is right there to lend a helping hand.

They recently rescued a juvenile bushbaby who they called Sam.

“Meet Sam, the juvenile bushbaby who found himself in quite the predicament. Dehydrated and stuck in an attic, he was discovered by the compassionate couple, Scott and Nushca.

Without hesitation, they reached out to our helpline, and we were able to offer them the assistance they needed to care for this adorable little creature. Together, we provided Sam with the nourishment and care he required, ensuring his well-being for a full 24 hours in a safe environment.”

Once he was ready, they set him free.

“And here’s the best part: Last night, as the sun began to set, we bid farewell to Sam as he was released back into the wild, where he truly belongs!

It’s stories like these that remind us of the power of compassion and the incredible impact we can have when we come together to help those in need. So let’s celebrate this heartwarming moment and spread some positivity today!

Remember, even the smallest acts of kindness can make a world of difference.”
