Whenever the weather gets damper and a little colder, we can count on hundreds of South Africans to snap up beautiful pictures, this time, it’s frosted!

Inland South Africans can feel it in the air, that bite in the air as they wake up and the chill that rolls in after lunch time is over. It is here, Winter has sprung up in her chilly and frosted glory.

The warm jackets, scarves and hats have been dusted off, bedding has been changed and extra blankets can be found everywhere. The fires are crackling and warm soups are bubbling away on the stovetops but are we really ready? The answer for most is no, no we are never ready for when Winter comes knocking.

Yearning for those summer days, back in the sunshine with our flipflops and our iced drinks is all we have to help get through the Winter.

Thankfully, along with the blistering cold, comes a relaxing quietness and a beauty that could easily rival a luscious green summer.

Social media has been ablaze with photos of frosted fields and gardens. It sparkles with its own kind of magic. We have seen some truly beautiful images today and thought you would enjoy seeing them too.
