Gauteng summer storms have started with a bang, bringing much-needed rain to the province as the Vaal Dam levels dropped incredibly low.
Gauteng, South Africa (06 November 2020) – The Gauteng Weather Twitter account is quite valuable for those living in Gauteng. It updates on weather, storm warnings, flood warnings and shares all the incredible images Gauteng residents take when things are happening.
The last week has been a wet one for the province and that is great news! Just the other day we reported how low the Vaal Dam levels were. Before the massive storm started last week Saturday, the dam had dipped to below 28%!
By the 4th of November, it was back over the 30% mark. It is now sitting at 30.2% and hopefully will rise as the rains continue. After the downpour last night, we are hopeful it will get better throughout our summer rain season.
