The popular South African YouTube channel, Latest Sightings, has set up a crowdfund to support game rangers through the tourism lockdown.

South Africa (08 May 2020) – Nadav Ossendryver, the founder of Latest Sightings Kruger, started a crowdfund to support South African game rangers through the lockdown. The lockdown has meant that tourism has come to a grinding halt, these rangers rely on the industry and are now struggling without an income.

Guides have been a massive help to Nadav and the running of Latest Sightings Kruger. Many have captured incredible footage over the years, giving the public a chance to witness incredible sightings they would otherwise have missed.

“Over the years, the guides have helped grow Latest Sightings by tinging their amazing sightings and showing support for Latest Sightings through thick and thin.

After several requests, we are going to try out a fundraiser. We are going to distribute 100% of the funds to our loyal guides that have helped grow the community.

Please contribute as much as you can, since the parks are closed for at least another month that we know of.

We are raising funds to support safari tour guides who take tours to game reserves in South Africa. Coronavirus has closed the door to international and local travel and has caused the parks to close indefinitely, leaving these guides with no income whatsoever. We would like to appeal to wildlife lovers out there to help raise funds.”
