Orangutan

A lonely Orangutan spotted a baby bird floating in his moat so he decided to save it. The video captured the heartwarming moment he scooped it out to safety

Animals are the sweetest souls in the world, this is proven every day on YouTube. Recently the Dodo shared a video of an Orangutan that saved a tiny baby bird from drowning in his moat. The video was captured by someone who was at the Zoo.

The Orangutan used a leaf to pull the bird over towards him, a gesture that definitely got the waterworks flowing in the Good Things Guy office. Finally he plucked the bird out of his moat and placed it down on the grass. He knelt down and watched over it. Then he took its tiny head on the tip of his finger and gently stroked it.

While the actual rescue took place in 2016, the Dodo posted the video onto their YouTube channel a few days ago and it has been shared across the internet in just a matter of days.

We as humans could take a few notes, the Orangutan was filled with compassion and love. While we don’t know what became of the bird we do know that this display of care was too precious not to share.

If you can be anything today, be gentle, be kind and be compassionate towards those who may be struggling. Just like our sweet and gentle Orangutan friend.
