By participating in an international water testing initiative, you can contribute to a cleaner and healthier future for all.
South Africa (11 September 2024) – World Water Monitoring Day is just around the corner, and Watercan is encouraging you to help protect our precious water resources.
World Water Monitoring Day is officially celebrated on September 18th, annually. It’s a global education and outreach initiative that aims to increase public awareness of the significance of conserving water resources worldwide. This is achieved by encouraging people to conduct fundamental monitoring of their local water bodies.
Watercan, an NGO and a growing network of citizen science activists is urging people to join its water testing initiative by signing up to receive a free water testing kit to make a real difference in your community.
By participating, individuals become part of a worldwide effort to safeguard our planet’s most precious resource.
“Last year, we saw more than 700 South Africans taking part in this important initiative, and this year, WaterCAN is aiming to mobilise 1,500 testers across the country.
“The data you collect will help raise awareness about water quality and hold decision-makers accountable for safeguarding this vital resource,” Watercan shares.
Be part of the change! Sign up now to receive your free water testing kit and contribute to a cleaner, healthier future: https://watercan.org.za/water-testing-week/
