South Coast, South Africa (22 November 2022) – Pat Symcox loves the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal and often promotes it on his social media. Recently he was sitting at home when a pod of dolphins were spotted surfing. He quickly snapped a few pictures and they are incredible!
The KwaZulu-Natal coastline is home to some of our most beautiful ocean life. Often, one gets the chance to see whales and dolphins swimming past the coast.
Symcox, who played for the Proteas back in the ’90s, went on to become a real estate professional and he loves to promote the South Coast, an area he also calls home. Before retiring from cricket, he played 100 games for South Africa, which is an incredible achievement.
One of his passions is wildlife photography which he gets to do being so close to the coast. Another passion is the beach. Symcox advocates for the care of the South Coast beaches which not only bring locals joy, but also draws in tourists to all the beach towns.
When not at the beach, Symcox is still spending his time in the great outdoors. He enjoys camping and caravaning too.
If you are familiar with Symcox’s social media, you will often see him strolling along the beach near his home. Being so in tune with it, is what gave him the opportunity to spot the dolphins and get such beautiful images.
