We really do live in the most beautiful place on earth… Tim Peake, an astronaut living & working on the International Space Station snapped this pic & uploaded it a couple of hours ago.

Tim is a European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut of British nationality. He is currently living and working on the International Space Station for Expedition 46/47. Tim has a background as a test pilot and a British Army Air Corps officer.

He apparently took the photo yesterday but uploaded it to Facebook a couple of hours ago.

“Lovely pass-by South Africa yesterday – still in awe of Eddie Izzard running 27 marathons across that stretch of land!”

He moved into the space station in December 2015 after years of training & was the first British ESA astronaut to ever visit the Space Station.

His journey is incredibly interesting & he posts updates often. Here’s some of our favourites…

This is a great shot. We see 16 sunrises every day - but I've never seen one as beautiful as this. Taken 27 March 2016.

So cool to watch Progress supply spacecraft ride into orbit... right beneath us! Docking Saturday night to the International Space Station.
