Wardrobe upgrade

Wildlife icon Terri Irwin and Australian actress Julia Morris recently gifted the legendary all-female, anti-poaching unit The Black Mambas a fabulous wardrobe upgrade!

Kruger National Park, South Africa (25 February 2025) — The legendary all-female, anti-poaching unit known as The Black Mambas spend a significant amount of their time protecting South Africa’s wildlife. It’s about as hands-on as a job can get; filled with bravery, quick-thinking and selfless acts.

The camouflage these women proudly adorn, then, is both practical and representative of their behind-the-scenes efforts. But, no matter how incognito they may be and look when working, this hardly means they shouldn’t get their moment in the spotlight, full glamour in tow, when the chance arises.

In a fabulous effort targeted at letting these queens dazzle as much on the outside, The Black Mambas got their flowers through fashion thanks to celebrities Terri Irwin and Julia Morris!

The Black Mambas received a wardrobe upgrade of note thanks to the wildlife icon Terri who donated her dresses to the team, while comedic star Julia gifted her entire ‘Jungle Wardrobe’ from the ‘I’m a Celebrity’ season Julia was a part of.

Speaking to the wardrobe upgrade, longtime-supporter of the unit, Terri, shared that meeting the Black Mambas was a privilege:

“It was so fun to share some of my dresses and [Julia’s] donated wardrobe from [I’m a Celebrity Australia] to bring them a bit of glamour. These women have dedicated their lives to protect wildlife from poachers, and usually spend their time in military fatigues. They rock both looks.”

Julia added her own praises in saying:

“A fierce, all female army of anti poaching women who refuse to allow animals to be hurt, some days risking their lives. It’s an honour to serve. They wear camo for work…and also fabulous shades of red lipstick…so I decided to donate my Jungle wardrobe to these incredible women.”

“To think of all these lovely Aussie designers’ beautiful pieces on such deserving and special women…this gift brought joy on the givers and the receivers.”
