best man

As the groom stood there, waiting to see his bride standing behind him, he felt a wave of nerves and as he turned, those nerves melted into hysterics of laughter…

Because there, standing right behind him was not his bride but was his bearded best man in a wedding dress.

32-year-old David Hofmann was expecting to see his wife-to-be Brianne Dennis in her white gown, but to his surprise, she had traded places with their friend 37-year-old Timmy Horton.

Unable to contain himself, he burst into a fit of laughter at the sight of his best man. This melted away all those pre-wedding jitters.

“Right in that moment, I was anxious. I was trying to calm my nerves because I was about to see my bride for the first time.

“I was expecting to see Brianne and I turned around to see Timmy in a wedding dress.

“He was pale and hairy and we love each other very much, but not in that way. I was falling down laughing.”

The prank was arranged by both the bride and the best man and they decided to pull it off during the “first look” shoot. The shoot is done just before the couple walk down the aisle which gives them a chance to see each other for the first time before the ceremony.

Eventually, once the guys got over their giggles, Brianne came out to do the actual first look shoot with her future husband.

“Brianne has always been beautiful so I didn’t expect anything less.

“There had been so much building up to that moment that when I first saw her, all of a sudden I just felt complete. I’ll remember the day and that moment forever.”
