If you needed a reason to smile today, seeing children in Kimberley reacting to their first-ever snow is everything you need today.
Kimberley, South Africa (22 July 2021) – It is cold! It is very, very cold in South Africa at the moment, and parts of the country are experiencing snowfall.
Not everyone has seen snow before. You might have seen snow if you grew up in Joburg in the ’70s. You may have seen snow if you grew up close to the Drakensberg or have spent time in Lesotho. You may also have seen snow in parts of the Western Cape.
Snowfall is always exciting, no matter how old you are, but many South Africans have never had the chance to see it. Reports are starting to roll in and Kimberley, home to the Big Hole, has snow!
A group of school children got to see snow for the first time, and their reactions are priceless! It gives you a real reason to smile today, and while we all sit trying to warm up, this video will definitely warm your heart.
Oh, to be a child again, when life was pure and filled with joy. We hope this timeline cleanser brings you a little warmth today.
