Before the lockdown, the Drakensberg Boys Choir came together to perform a song by Sivuyile Scott. They recently released it for the public, and we have goosebumps!

The Drakensberg, South Africa (07 April 2020) – The Drakensberg Boys Choir has made a habit of giving showstopping, encore inducing performances that provide full-body chills. They have once again done so but this time to keep the public entertained during the lockdown.

The school choir had to cancel a number of their concerts due to the Covid-19 outbreak and lockdown. To keep fans entertained at home, they have released a new song, an ode to the beauty of nature (“Ubuhle Bendalo”) by Sivuyile Scott.

The choir boys are all at home with their families at this time and have a few recommendations to stay busy during the lockdown.

  • Puzzles, Boardgames, Pingpong, Card games, Dodgeball, Handball
  • Housework (and learning some life skills like using the washing machine, hanging out washing, how to weld, built a volleyball net over the pool)
  • Practising musical instruments either the conventional way or teaching themselves via an app
  • Gardening, starting a herb garden
  • Drawing and painting
  • Exercise, swimming
  • 30 Day Lego Challenge
  • Preparing meals together, baking, cooking
  • Reading, photography, making use of the free online audiobooks
  • Making aeroplanes
  • Obstacle course around the garden and house
  • Helping siblings with homework
  • Campouts in the lounge
  • Serenading the neighbourhood
  • Learning to touch type
  • Computer/Playstation/Nintendo games

Thanks, boys, those are some useful tips! Take a look at their latest performance below.
