Francie Lubbe and her partner woke up to two lions licking water off their tent after a downpour overnight.
The couple were camping in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in Botswana when Ms Lubbe recorded the video which she then posted on her Facebook account.
As the two adult lions licked water from the outside of the tent and ignored the couple inside.
Ms Lubbe was able to stay calm and quiet long enough to capture this video and an accompanying set of photos.
“What a privilege. It rained during the night and 3 lioness licking the water from the tent,” she said in one of the Facebook posts about the episode.
She said it was taken in the Khiding campsite, an area in the preserve that is famous for frequent visits from lions.
