DF Malan High School put on a show every year at their interschool sports day; it is around the corner, so we look back at past performances.

Belville, Cape Town – DF Malan High School is famous for their school cheers. Every year, when they take part in the interschool sports day, the learners put on an impressive show using only their voices and their school blazers.

The effect is mesmerising and leaves many wondering how hard the learners must have worked to come up with such a unique performance.

There are always a few learners out on the podium to help direct the performance, so it goes off smoothly. The cheers the learners perform are always used to give the sports players that ‘gees’ they need to win games at the sports day.

Together, everyone is involved in the cheers, and every year they blow people away with how good they are. Even the teachers get involved leading up to the big day, every year they film a dance clip to build up the spirit at the school.

This year’s interschool sports day is just ten days away, and we are very excited to see what cheer the school comes up with this year.

Overall, the school spirit is infectious and almost makes us want to head back to school just to be a part of all the fun. We will settle for watching the learners have all the fun and putting on an excellent show. Take a look at one of their cheers below.
