This December, Ster-Kinekor brings you the heart warming and humorous story of Ferdinand: ‘a bull that would rather smell flowers than be in a bull fight’. Ferdinand is a friendly bull that is mistaken for a dangerous beast and this false accusation sadly leads to him being captured. Besides being faced with many obstacles, Ferdinand is determined to return to his family, with the help of his misfit team.

Taken from the 1936 Children’s book by Munro Leaf and Robert Lawson, Ferdinand will have your whole family in hysterics and is showing from 22 December 2017. It is directed by Carlos Saldanha, the voices of the characters are played by John Cena, Kate McKinnon, Anthony Anderson, Bobby Cannavale, Peyton Manning, Gina Rodriguez, Miguel Ángel Silvestre, and David Tennant.

Escape the city life with Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle in 3D, starring the powerhouse duo Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, with the hilarious Jack Black. Directed by Jake Kasdan. The film also stars Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas and Bobby Cannavale.

This action adventure comedy follows four high school kids who are transformed into adult avatars through a video game. To re-transform and go back to the real world, they are challenged to beat the game and change the way they think of themselves, or be stuck in the game for eternity.

Take your little ones on an immersive family adventure with Ster-Kinekor Theatres, from the comfort of your cinema seat, with Paddington 2, showing in IMAX – for an out of the world cinema experience. Paddington 2 is a sequel to the 2014 British animated film which follows the journey of Paddington, a bear from the dark woods of Peru, who through trials and tribulations makes his way to London, where he meets the Brown Family.

Paddington 2 releases on 1st December 2017. Paddington, who has now made himself at home with the Brown Family and their community, investigates the theft of a book that would have been a perfect gift for his aunt’s 100th birthday.

The film is directed by Paul King and stars Ben WhiDear Jenny,Dear Jenny,Dear Jenny,shaw as the voice of Paddington Bear, as well as, Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Brendan Gleeson, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi and the legendary Hugh Grant. This CGI animated adventure will have the little ones enthralled.

Have some girl power fun with Barbie: Dolphin Magic Wonder. This animated film follows Barbie and her sister as they visit Ken during his internship at a dolphin research centre. The sisters discover a rainbow coloured dolphin at the centre that inspires them to embark on the challenge of preserving the sea life at the Cora. While this may seem like a simple task for these courageous girls, reality proves otherwise and their mermaid friend Isla lends them a hand. The girls are determined to save the day. Find out how team work can be fun in The Nut Job 2. This animated film is not only full of lessons for young children, but also provides the ultimate cinema entertainment in 3D from 05 January 2018. The Nut Job is about a squirrel named Surly who finds out that the squirrels community’s beloved Liberty park is about to be bulldozed by the corrupt mayor. Surly rallies his friends on a mission to put an end to this cruel plan.
