Fidget Spinners

A South African has taken to Facebook to explain exactly what a Fidget Spinners and why he cannot understand why people are wasting their money on them.

Craig Du Toit Nel, a South African vlogger and comedian has taken to social media to describe to everyone what exactly a Fidget Spinner is and what trouble it has been causing.

A ‘fidget spinner’ is a toy that consists of a bearing in the center of a multi-lobed flat structure made from metal or plastic designed to spin along its axis with little effort.

Fidget spinners became popular toys in 2017, although similar devices had already been invented in 1993. The toy became popular among schoolchildren. Some schools banned the spinners for being a distraction, while other schools allowed the toy to be used discreetly.

The South African vlogger begins his skit by asking the viewers what a Fidget Spinner actually is… and why exactly it exists. He goes on to explain how one of his friends works at an amusement park and has been hit by over 50 of them falling off the rides.

The video has been seen over 200 000 times and is being shared rapidly.

We’ve roughly translated one of his funny one-liners… but it could never be converted to its full glory as said in Afrikaans.

“One or other “thunder-gun” who owned a ball-bearing manufacturing plant thought about how he would get his balls into everyone’s hands… and guess what… you now have his balls in your hands.”

Watch the hilarious full clip below but please be warned… it is not safe for kids or for work as it does contain swearing (NSFW):
