Postmodern Jukebox specialises in recreating popular songs with a vintage twist, they usually turn rock music, pop songs and classics into various “old-school” styles.
Postmodern Jukebox is a YouTube channel dedicated to doing “old-school” renditions of some of the most popular songs in the world. They turn hard rock into jazz, pop into 1920’s style shows and oldies like Journey’s ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ into vintage melodies.
Poking fun at modern music for not being real music, Casey Abrams and Snuffy Walden have a jam session and cover Toto’s Africa in a 50’s style performance. We have shared many covers of Toto’s Africa before and this one is so different compared to all the rest.
We love thier YouTube channel, it is filled with some beautiful covers of some of our favourite songs.
Toto’s Africa has been covered thousands of times in every kind of way. Some of our favourite covers have been by local school choirs but one of the funniest was by Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell, who are one of Hollywood’s cutest couples. Their performance together gave us serious couple goals. You can see that cover here which they performed while on holiday in Africa when it actually rained down.
Take a look at the funky cover below.
