Group Smartphone - Mobile Homeless Good Samaritan Social Media Facebook Twitter

A South African guy has found a date (and become a little more well known on social media) after going viral with a very random Facebook post.

Christopher Dando has gone viral… and found a date, after posting a request in a popular networking group on Facebook.

The “I Know A Guy” Facebook group is a network of influencers, employers, freelancers and networkers that believe in sharing opportunities and recommending the best guy for the job.

“People who need a guy post their opportunity, and networkers tag those they believe will be interested or the best qualified for the job!”

But Dando didn’t need a guy, he needed a girl and so he used the group to put up his request.

The replies were even more epic than the original post.

Beverley Chigwanda-Kambarami commented: “Christopher may need a PA to shortlist and interview ‘candidates’…. Anyone know a guy?”

Gregg Davies said: “This may just be the best thread ever on IKAG. Christopher you have to let us know the outcome of this game of Public Tinder when done please. We are rooting for you while typing up our own IKAG adverts”

Lorinda Hern stated: “Okay, Christopher Dando, before we make this official, I have a question: have you ever instructed any of your former partners to put the lotion in the basket…?”

Yuly Da Silva Pereira posted: You need to FB live stream the first date”

Slindile Penelope Mabida added: “Listen Chris, you get married, we are ALL invited!”

The request has garnished quite a large following and scored him an actual date! After almost 2000 likes, comments and shares, someone has offered to go on a coffee date with Dando.

“Guys, I got a date!  she’s smashing and has a great sense of humour.”

We’re definitely looking forward to Dando’s date update and when he’s done, maybe he should create a new group called “I Know A Single Person” to help all the rest of South African social media too…
