Harry Potter

Niantic, Inc. are the creators of Pokemon Go and they recently announced the new Harry Potter version of their Augmented Reality game.

The excitement is unreal in the office today! The obsession with HP is very real, we’re very ‘Sirius’ about the franchise! So it makes us very happy to announce that the magical world of Harry Potter will be coming to smartphone users everywhere.

The announcement was made last week and confirmed that Niantic, Inc. will be collaborating with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and WB Games San Francisco’s development team to create an augmented reality phone game similar to Pokemon Go.

“We’re incredibly excited to announce this next step in the evolution of AR mobile entertainment. With Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, players that have been dreaming of becoming real-life Wizards will finally get the chance to experience J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World. Players will learn spells, explore their real-world neighbourhoods and cities to discover & fight legendary beasts and team up with others to take down powerful enemies.”

There are no other details at the moment but people are able to visit the website and sign up for the newsletter that will have updated information. More information will also be revealed in 2018.

The good news here is that many people will be out and about chasing magical things in their free time. This opens up opportunities for shelters to get free dog walkers, for people to get lots of exercise and for people to meet up and make new friends.
