Dance Off

The video of the high school boys having a dance off has been viewed nearly 200,000 times and is inspiring unity among South Africans everywhere!

A video was posted on Facebook a week ago showing a group of school boys standing in a circle, the next minute they broke into dance and had a dance off. The group was mixed and everyone got involved, taking a turn to show off their moves. The young men are all students at Northern Cape High School.

While the video is a little choppy in terms of filming, we thought we would share it anyway because it’s the kind of South Africa everyone should see, the youth having an absolute blast dancing together and laughing and just being down right silly.

South African’s have been praising the video, calling it a breath of fresh air.

“This is How I wish to see SA… to All Of the young Men in the video U Rock and we all should take note and love one others like brothers and sisters… together we can build a better tomorrow 😎🤗😇” – Dean Niemand

“This is so cute….. this is how it should be” – Yolanda Putuma

“Our future generations, this is how South Africa should be 🤗🤗” – Sunette Swiegelaar

“😅😅😅 did this on Friday with our class …let’s show love to one another ..I love it❤❤” – Noni Noncedo Mamgiqwa Mngomeni

“This is what I like……These laaities showing the grownups what diversity is all about…Well done boys, keep it up.” – Gregory Alkana

We love video’s like this, they show us the true spirit of South African’s and to be honest, the secret talent that most people have for dancing, which is always brilliant!

  1. Proudly South African. Ubuntu, SA heritage and all the good make me feel fuzzy stuff about SA. Thank you boys for reminding us all what really matters – our commonalities rather than differences ❤️
