The Selborne Primary School senior marimba band put on an epic performance of Jerusalema that had the crowd dancing along by the end of it.

 

East London, South Africa (20 October 2022) – Selborne Primary School is an all boys school in East London. The school prides itself on brotherhood and unity. This is echoed every year during Black and White Week.

Black and White Week is a school celebration of all things Selborne. Black and white are the school colours and the week is used to celebrate unity and school pride. It is a highly anticipated week is filled with festivities and activities. Previous graduates visit the school and mentor the current grade one to seven classes.

This year, the fun-filled week has led up to the school celebrating 150 years since it was founded.

One of the events was put on by the senior Marimbas band. They played a cover of the now world famous song Jerusalema.

Hundreds of people have since seen the performance on YouTube and are loving it too!
