Mark Fish

Mark Fish made a bit of a social media ‘oops’ when tweeting in memory of Hugh Masekela.

He used the wrong image and the person in the picture wasn’t Masekela. While he got some backlash, most people forgave him. The oops has started a new trend that has us giggling!

Everyone, at some point, has made a social media oopsie. None of us can safely point a finger without thinking hard about our own social media history. This is the case for Mark Fish.

In a moment of confusion, he accidentally posted a picture with Hugh Masekela to share his condolences, only the man in the picture wasn’t Hugh Masekela. He was deeply apologetic about the mix-up and most people forgave him pretty easily because we have all been there.

He removed the tweet and then posted the correct one a few hours later.

The internet, however, doesn’t forget and people started the ‘Mark Fish Challenge’. Mark has been a great sport about the whole mix-up and has even retweeted a few of the funniest tweets he has received.
