Jenny Ayumi Umbhau is a South African-born stunt woman who recently gave Wednesday Addams in the new Netflix series “Wednesday”, all her killer moves!

South Africa (05 December 2022) – Wednesday Addams is a badass determined young woman, out to solve crimes and bring killers to justice. While the dark, young woman comes from a must-see fictional series, her stunt double is a very real, super cool South African.

Jenny Ayumi Umbhau was born in South Africa to Japanese and German parents. She grew up in Cape Town and later went on to the United States to pursue a career as a stunt woman. Her love of stunts, however, started in South Africa and she was even part of the crew that filmed Black Sails, which was filmed in Somerset West, Western Cape.

Jenny is an aspiring actress who already has some incredible credits to her name, working on the set of both the Resident Evil TV series and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. Other notable movies include The Maze Runner, Tomb Raider, Escape Room and most recently, Wednesday, a series on Netflix.

She spent eight months on set in Romania where the series was filmed and called the experience a “dream come true”.

For those that have watched the series already, there are some hard-hitting stunt moments and incredible fight scenes. We won’t spoil more that that but take a look at Jenny’s Instagram to see some of the fun she got up to on set. Otherwise, check out the series on Netflix. We have added the trailer below.
