An Alaskan mom has gone viral after a bout of winter cabin fever made her do something quite funny but also made her the best mom ever!
Alaska, United States (12 March 2020) – Denise Ekstrand has the internet in stitches of laughter all because she had a little cabin fever and was procrastinating before doing her taxes.
The supermom took a framed picture that her daughter made and decided to mimic the look. The picture is of her, her daughter made it back when she was in preschool. Today she is a college student. The bored mom was trapped indoors during the Alaskan winter and trying to do everything but her taxes. She looked up at the painting and was struck with inspiration.
Denise’s friend commented that she must have tons of time on her hands to which she replied that her to-do list was incredibly long and that this makeup session was not on the list.
“I have a long list of must does and oddly enough, this wasn’t on it. My ADHD goes through the roof with the winter cabin fever, so there’s a lot of detours.”
Denise’s sense of humour didn’t stop there, she proposed all parents do this and go around collecting beer, kind of like a fun adults version of Halloween.
“I propose this should be a national holiday, like Halloween. Hordes of parents dressed as their kids’ portrayal of them, going door to door collecting pillowcases full of beer. You all have one of these pictures somewhere. Let’s make this happen people!”
Children are known to be somewhat artistically challenged, but we all love the artworks they produce. Especially when they are of us or other humans. They seldom look like us, but it’s the thought that counts!
