In an effort to drum up some excitement for their first show of 2023, the Mzansi Tenors visited the Camps Bay Tidal Pool to give a mini performance.

Cape Town, South Africa (23 January 2023) – The Mzansi Tenors gave beachgoers at the Camps Bay Tidal Pool a great show this weekend. The men serenaded the crowd and in return, earned a standing ovation and several calls for more.

The Mzansi Tenors will perform at the Theatre On The Bay from the 25th to the 28th of January 2023. The pop-up performance was done to raise awareness about their show.

The Mzansi Tenors were formed during the pandemic after being involved in Rand Merchant Bank’s Talent Unlocked programme, together with Maestro Richard Cock. The group has done several shows no including the RMB Starlight Classics in Cape Town and Johannesburg, a concert at the Baxter Theatre and a series of carols by candlelight concerts at the end of 2022. Now they are doing their first-ever solo production and are very excited about it.

“They will be opening with their trademark classic ‘Qaqamba Nyana Wam’, and following it up with an exciting line-up of operatic, Broadway and classic favourites, including songs from the likes of Josh Groban and Frank Sinatra.

The lion’s share of ticket sales will be donated to the group by the theatre, so come along and support South Africa’s mighty voices – unplugged!”

Take a look at their pop-up performance below. You can get tickets for their show here.

Beachgoer Justine Seymour managed to film a few of their performances at length. You can watch that here and below.
