“The power is in our hands, wash them.” says Nando’s to KFC’s “finger-licking good” slogan leaving South Africans laughing out loud!
South Africa (19 March 2020) – Nando’s are at it again, giving us all something to laugh about!
Recently KFC announced they would be pausing the use of their slogan “finger-licking good” due to the rise of Covid-19. In the UK, the company aired an advert, and it received 163 complaints about promoting unhealthy standards (aka licking your fingers).
“Our team in the UK didn’t feel like it was the right time to be airing this particular advertisement, so they’ve decided to pause it for now,” a KFC spokesperson told the Daily News
With the world stressing the importance of washing your hands and not touching your face, so it is no wonder Nando’s took advantage of their advertising faux-pas. The retaliation towards their competitor had us laughing, and we love that they gave us reason to smile during these trying times!
