Service Dogs

Rue and Ruger are expecting their first litter, the best part is their puppies are being born into the Service Dogs programme and will help the lives of many!

Dog Photographer Cris Skinner met Rue and Ruger and just knew she had to capture their story! She and the dogs owner Ashley set up a day of fun with the dogs and did a ‘Pawternity’ shoot. The pair live in Alaska, USA and their owner Ashley helps train future service dogs!

Rue and Ruger will be first time parents to their litter of puppies and once the puppies are old enough, they will be trained as Service Dogs.

“I wanted to document this special moment, as well as milestones along the way. So, we decided a PAWternity session was in order.”

“Rue and Ruger absolutely ROCKED their PAWternity session. A “newborn session” and a “name reveal” session are just a few of the sessions as we document the journey of these special little pups.”

“They have a big journey ahead of them with the goal of giving back quality of life to a human who faces challenges due to a disability.” – Cris Skinner

When Cris isn’t busy being a professional photographer, she is donating her skill to shelters and other animal charities to help with funding and adoptions.

We cannot wait to see the future of these ‘Service Pups’ and watch them grow!
