April the 11th is Pet Day and to celebrate we found the funniest video compilation of dogs. But the day is about all our beloved pets too, so Happy Pet Day!

Dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles and every manner of pet bring so much joy to our lives. They bring unconditional love and endless stories that will leave you in stitches of laughter.

What would we be without our beloved pets? They teach us to love, responsibility and patience. So it is only fair that they get a fully dedicated day, just like mothers and fathers. If you don’t have a pet, one of your friends or family must do. Head on over and shower a pet with lots of love, kisses and cuddles today.

It is always important to remember that we are our pets entire lives, they spend their lives with us.

“Until one has loved an animal a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.” – Anatole France

Here are a few things you can do to honour your pet today:

  • Make a donation to a shelter in their name.
  • Buy them their favourite treat.
  • Go for a nice long walk.
  • Play ball, fetch or whichever game they love most.
  • Cuddles are a must! So are kisses and praises like “who’s a good boy/girl?” or letting them know you think they are beautiful.
  • Adopt a pet, the shelters are filled with loving animals just waiting for their fur-ever homes.
  • Give them a bath, so they can be fresh and beautiful for their pet date with you.

We would love to see your beloved pets, please share a picture of your fur-baby (feather-baby, scaled-baby or whatever) in the comment section and let us know their name(s).
