A Poster being held up at a Protea cricket match said something completely different when looked at from afar.

Side note: Never use the same colour markers as the cardboard when writing signs for sporting events.

Anton Taylor, a South African celeb and Tali’s new husband Darren (said with a very Fourways accent) saw the poster while watching the cricket over the weekend.

He took a quick snapshot and shared to Facebook with his thoughts… which quickly turned into a hilarious online conversation.

“Quick note to all our American friends watching cricket in our country… Whilst we’re so happy to have you, and whilst the yellow and green painting of ‘Proteas’ is a nice touch, you might, in the future, want to use a board of a different colour… From afar the yellow words get lost and we only see what’s in green, which in these parts changes the meaning of your placard slightly.”

In words that only a South African could understand… shame.
