Aren’t you that guy that used to do the news long ago? But you look exactly the same!
Cape Town, South Africa – Famed South African news reporter Riaan Cruywagen takes us along his investigation into Hawkins, a small town where nothing is as it seems.
Riaan Cruywagen (born 5 October 1945) is a South African television news reader and voice artist who has been associated with the South African Broadcasting Corporation since its first television broadcasts in 1975. Since then, Cruywagen had presented the Afrikaans news on the SABC network every weeknight. His final broadcast on SABC 2 went out on 26 November 2012 at 7 pm CAT. He has made approximately 7000 news broadcasts.
But Netflix has pulled out the 74-year-old for another important (and funny) news report on the Stranger Things happening in Hawkins, and the fact that he hasn’t aged.
The third season of the American science fiction-horror web television series, Stranger Things, titled Stranger Things 3, was released worldwide on Netflix’s web streaming service on July 4, 2019. The series is set in 1985, and the premise is again that something is just not right in the town of Hawkings.
The new Starcourt Mall has become the focal point of the town, driving other stores out of business. Sheriff Jim Hopper is conflicted over Eleven and Mike’s budding relationship, while Joyce considers moving out of Hawkins for better prospects, leaving the state of the children’s friendships and her own relationship with Hopper in the air. However, strange power fluctuations trigger Will’s awareness of something otherworldly, and Eleven and Max sense something is off about the town’s residents, and despite having closed the portal to the Upside Down, fears that they are all in danger from it still.
