Joshua Ziervogel is an eight year old pupil at Laerskool Van Riebeeck Primary who’s performance has gone viral!

 

Joshua Ziervogel has stolen the hearts of South Africans everywhere with his viral performance of Redfoo’s 2015 song, Juicy Wiggle. The performance was during a revue competition at Carnival City.

Joshua’s performance went viral shortly after it was shared on Facebook. People were so blown away by his character, performance ability and dance moves. They even compared him to Elvis Presley.

It was during the semi-finals that the video was captured and since then they juniors went on to win their category. Lefra Productions’ hosts an annual national revue competition which was presented at Carnival City from 14 to 24 August 2018. The school shared their happy news on their Facebook page.

“Well done to our Riebie revue group. The Juniors WON their category and the seniors took 3rd place at the Kaleidoscope competition. We would like to thank each person that supported us, we are very proud to say that we have the best supporters. A big thank you to the school and every teacher involved”

Frans Swart shared the video online and in an interview with Martin Bester, he confirmed just how amazing the show was.

“When I saw Joshua on stage, I just had to capture it. He has to potential to South Africa’s next big star – and that is exactly what the Revue competition sets out to do,” said Swart.
