School Choir Goes Viral

A School Choir singing a song together is going viral… but here’s the reason why.

It’s not filmed well, it doesn’t showcase the whole song and it’s not some grand production but it’s core message is resounding with millions of South Africans.

It’s all about working together.

A proud mom was filming her daughter singing in a choir concert at Ferrum High school in Newcastle but someone uploaded the video to social media and it has done something so much more for the South Africans who keep sharing and commenting.

It shows unity.

Yes, it’s just a song, and yes there is still a political rhetoric telling us how we should feel about land, and leadership and the lack there of, but these kids of different colours, and races, and backgrounds are singing together.

Together.

There simple, beautiful act is reminding us how easy it can be to work together… even if just for one song.

So, for a couple minutes today, sit back and watch this. Remind yourself about how beautiful our country is, how far we have come, and how easy it is to work together.

Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success.
