sokkie

A video has gone viral on social media of a bunch of South Africans sokkie’ing in the rain after being caught in a traffic jam.

The video was originally posted by Sean Badenhorst while being stuck in traffic on the R74 in Kwazulu Natal. Two truck drivers blocked off the main road which saw a bunch of cars stuck in the rain.

Instead of getting upset, a couple of people also stuck in the traffic decided to use the opportunity to literally dance in the rain.

Badenhorst posted the video which has already racked up 46 000 views.

“Sokkie in die pad! At the bottom of Oliviershoek Pass, we came across two truck drivers on their way up that had somehow blocked the road completely.”

“The youngsters ahead of us didn’t get irate, they just sokkied (danced) in the rain…”

“So South African. So cool!”
